April Showers Bring May Flowers, bleh.
It’s been rather cold and rainy in the Hudson Valley. The need for indoor activities has spiked up, so I had to go hunting for some more Easter themed ones…

I love Pinterest!
I feel like I sound like a nerd. That’s totally fine by me. As long I can have Pinterest to help me with all kinds of nifty ideas…I’ll take the nerd card any day. Anyway, in true form, I decided to record us making our first Rice Krispies Treats together. It was a very impromptu, “let’s see what happens” sort of situation. Those are the kind of videos I like to watch sometimes. I feel it’s nice to see how some of these DIY activities go down in real life with a toddler in the mix. Somehow, our DIY’s always end up having intervals of dancing and singing. It’s the best! In case you’re curious here’s the playlist we were jamming to throughout this activity: Nectar Radio
However, I do appreciate a nicely thought out, shot list prepped and edited recipe video with an overhead view. Here is that version for your reference: How to Make Rice Krispies Treat Easter Eggs
I’d hoped I could’ve gotten this out sooner for us to share ahead of time, but I held off for one of those rainy days. I’m so thankful that I did because it was a good time and kept us busy for sure. Just like the Easter Bonnet Hat making activity that kept us busy for a whole week! Honestly, if you are catching this post before Easter Sunday, there’s a good chance you can still do this activity with your little one(s). Plus, if you’re like me, we do holiday themed activities for the entirety of that month. All these require are a handful of ingredients. I’ve included the gel food coloring we used below for your convenience. I’m happy with my purchase of this set. Anyhow, I figure now that this post exists I could bring it back next March with plenty of time before Easter. I’m sure by then there will be more we’ll be getting into, which if you know me...you know I’ll be sharing. Until then, we wish you and yours a Happy Easter Holiday!
Btw, Have you tried this with your family? Feel free to share with us in the comments.
