There’s only 1 brand I trust for this method.

I’ve found articles dismissing the idea of ingesting essential oils and I could see where these arguments stem from. Before I’d learned about what Vitality oils are, I didn’t even know or think to ingest essential oils. One key thing to keep in mind is that not all essential oils are created equal. I’m not just referring to the importance in the quality of the brand of essential oil, but also that in order for them to be ingestible they have to pass certain protocol. With that being said, I only ingest Young Living’s Vitality line of essential oils.

***The Vitality label on Young Living’s essential oil bottles means this oil is approved by the FDA for Internal Use. Both versions of these oils (Vitality and non Vitality) contain the exact same oil, so the only difference is how it’s legally labeled for clarity of use.

Typically I use one drop of each of these Vitality essential oils to spruce up my H2O:

  • Longevity Vitality - is a blend of Thyme, Orange, Clove, and Frankincense. It can be used as a supplement for those of us getting into our older days to support a healthy immune system.

  • Digize Vitality - is a great mealtime companion and addition to your wellness regimen.

  • Peppermint Vitality - is refreshing and supports healthy digestive function and gastrointestinal comfort.

  • Lemon Vitality - is a convenient way to add a punch of flavor and also has many health benefits when taken internally, including immune support and antioxidant.

I also use one Vitality oil at a time sometimes. The reason I add the peppermint and lemon in there is to pipe down the spice from the other 2 oils. For me, it’s got this healthy non-alcoholic Mojito flavor. It’s really just my preference. You can get creative with these. Another thing I want to point out is that I add these to a 30oz Yeti tumbler. You certainly can still use whatever bottle you normally use. I’m just a Yeti fan and find that 30oz bottle is the perfect size to use the ratio in the recipe above. I feel that when you’re first starting your wellness journey and ingesting oils, the more water used to dilute for drinking, the easier it is to transition into this type of all natural flavored water.

What’s even cooler is many of the vitality line essential oils can be used for culinary purposes ie. Lemon and Peppermint Vitality mentioned above.
